This project is an interactive calendar designed to bring moments of joy to the routine of daily life. I created each month’s design by experimenting with the way paper can protrude as it folds. When opened, the calendar unfolds into a dynamic, 3-dimensional design that forms the month's number. With the playful, movable elements—such as illustrated flowers, leaves, and beach balls that attach to Velcro—the calendar invites users to personalize each month according to their preferences. Additionally, users can color in each day to track their moods and foster self-reflection and emotional awareness.
The calendar encourages users to engage actively and personalize their experience daily. This constant potential for change highlights that, regardless of past challenges, every day can bring fresh opportunities for transformation, much like neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and form new connections throughout life.
